So, this has been bugging me for quite a while, but I just didn't understand as to why this happend (and I don't really now either). I think this must be related to Arch's kernel.

What happens is that when I boot my computer, the screen (LG 25UM65-P) is not as bright as it should be. When I enter its settings, it says "Brightness 100", but in reality, it's more like "Brightness 70". To fix this, I just change the brightness setting to 99 and then back to 100.

What makes me think that this is related to Arch's stock kernel is that I have been using linux-ck for the past half year and this didn't happen once. And now, two days using the stock kernel, the bug is as present as ever. I always need to change the brightness manually.
This task depends upon

Precisely what settings are you referring to? What is the brightness set to in sysfs?

The "native" monitor settings, available through its hardware buttons.

"ls /sys/class/backlight" doesn't print anything. Is there anything else I can check? For your information, this does happen on linux-zen too, but not with linux-ck. It resets on every boot.

I cannot reproduce the issue. Is it still valid?

No idea. I don't even have the screen anymore.
