Details

Description: The desktop file (/usr/share/applications/org.qt-project.qtcreator.desktop) does not contain "StartupWMClass=qtcreator" and therefore the windows of qtcreator are not groped in the dock (regular dock as well as the popular dash-to-dock).

1. Install QtCreator
2. Open a QtCreator Window
3. Look at the GNOME 3 Dock (press Super Key)
