Description:
The commit that glib2 is currently built from (2b47c8360) is on the upstream 2-52 branch and fixes a qemu hang ( https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=761102 ). Unfortunately, it also causes LibreOffice to go into a loop. This appears to be fixed by ( https://git.gnome.org/browse/glib/commit/?id=9ba95e25b74adf8d62effeaf6567074ac932811c ), which has not been backported to the 2-52 branch yet. I will continue to search for or eventually file a bug upstream regarding a backport to the 2-52 branch. Is it possible to include the second patch now or is it necessary to wait for it to be backported? This is especially important for users of LibreOffice on laptops. Additional info: * glib2-2.52.1+2+g2b47c8360-1 Steps to reproduce: * Open LibreOffice. htop shows 100% CPU usage. strace reveals a write/poll/read loop |
