Description:
Some bugs from WxGTK's current version haunts Poedit's latest version. Gladly, upstream have patches to solve these issues, having already deployed them in WX 3.0.x branch. The patches present no conflicts, very easy to apply. Please apply these patches to wxgtk in order to solve the assertion failures and improve POedit's usage. Just for your information, those bugs made impossible to Poedit 2.0.0 (and the maintainer had to downgrade and epoch it). In version 2.0.1, Poedit is usable, but the problems still persist. Issues reported in Poedit and the respective patch from WxWidgets upstream: 1. Poedit doesn't work with wxGTK 3.0.2 (latest stable) https://github.com/vslavik/poedit/issues/366 Patch: https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/commit/ed88188be7e97a0503f3471f7b0452740b732902.patch 2. "wxGTK 3.0: columns are right-aligned instead of left-aligned" https://github.com/vslavik/poedit/issues/369 Patch: https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/commit/ed8c3feab389493429c0a9bdde832b51a1c2186a.patch Additional info: * package version(s) wxgtk 3.0.2-6 poedit 1:2.0.1-1 (and 2.0.0-1 too) Steps to reproduce: (see in the aforementioned issues URL) |
