Details

The cgit interface (e.g. [1]) shows a drop-down menu to quickly switch a branch. That is quite handy for small repositories, but not for the AUR where the size of the list is equal to the number of packages. The current size of the page is over 2 MiB and takes about 10 seconds to render in Chromium. I think the switcher should be removed completely or replaced with a plain input-entry switcher.

I personally don't see what you're seeing and the link you provided loads in less than a second for me. AFAIK, there is no way to just simply change branches on the AUR's cgit pages.

It seems that it's already fixed in [2] for AUR and in [3] even for the archweb. Not sure if that's the final state that makes this bug resolved or there are other configuration intentions...
