Description:

I'm noticing the following since a while (finally getting around to mention it):
richard@sarchx64:/home/richard$ dmesg |grep -E 'BERT|ERST'
[ 0.000000] ACPI: BERT 0x00000000CFEAC940 000030 (v01 AMIER AMI_BERT 20160318 MSFT 00000097)
[ 0.000000] ACPI: ERST 0x00000000CFEAC970 000210 (v01 AMIER AMI_ERST 20160318 MSFT 00000097)
[ 3.024586] ERST: Can not request [mem 0xcfe9e000-0xcfe9ffff] for ERST.
[ 3.075777] BERT: Can't request iomem region <00000000cfeac8e0-00000000cfeac933>.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
* config and/or log files etc.

This is on 4.10.5-1-ARCH x86_64 and, as well on a 4.9.17-1-lts similarly configured.

I ignore if this affects operations in any real way, but I'm always dubious if there
are messages of this nature.

This isn't a kernel bug but a BIOS bug. Either ignore it or pass a boot parameter to disable ERST.
