Description:
"systemctl suspend" causes the kernel to hang when using the latest Arch kernel on a VMware Fusion VM.
Using the LTS kernel fixes the issue.
After adding debug flags to the kernel command line as per https://01.org/blogs/rzhang/2015/best-practice-debug-linux-suspend/hibernate-issues (suggested on the wiki), it appears devices are suspended correctly and the hang occurs after "pm: suspend-to-idle" is printed to the console.

Additional info:
* package version(s): latest linux package (4.10.4-1)
* config and/or log files etc.: vmx config file deprived of sensitive information http://pastebin.com/EaZEs09z

Steps to reproduce:
* Install Arch to the SCSI drive following the installation guide
* Do "systemctl suspend" from the shell
