DetailsKernel 4.10 introduced a regression of the DRM subsystem due to which switching from the X server's virtual terminal to another one by Ctrl+Alt+Fn may end in a frozen display. A patch is available but apparently not scheduled for inclusion in mainline yet. [0]
I have tested the patch with both 4.10.{4,3} for some days now. It is fixing the problem, downsides don't seem to exist. So I'd propose to include the patch in the kernel package. Patch and PKGBUILD used to build 4.10.4 here are attached. [0] https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99841 |

I cannot reproduce it, I think patch has been included upstream...
