https://lists.archlinux.org/pipermail/arch-general/2017-March/043331.html tools like hcidump, hcitool and hciconfig are deprecated. It is not obvious how new commands replace above. The new bluez commands also lack proper documentation. Also, many wiki pages use the deprecated commands. IMHO, it would be good to bring back the deprecated commands until the situation stabilizes (just use --enable-deprecated?).
