The iptables project provides a pcap to BPF compiler, nfbpf_compile. However, it's not compiled in the Arch Linux package.

This compiler is useful to translate pcap expressions to BPF and give the result to iptables, for instance:

bpf="$(nfbpf_compile RAW 'icmp[6:2] = 2')"
iptables -A INPUT -m bpf --bytecode "$bpf" -j LOG

To build this program, it is necessary to call configure with --enable-bpf-compiler, and add libpcap as a dependency.
