DetailsDescription:
Upon upgrading to kernel 4.10 lost ALL 16:9 resolutions leaving only 4:3 resolutions except for 4k/UHD (native). I was using 2,560 x 1,440 but after upgrading was suddenly UHD, so I checked display settings to change back and the only options shown are 4:3. Can be overridden but something is wrong with the display detection all of a sudden. MSI GS63VR Laptop with 4k display latest arch x64 clean install 4 days old with just base, multilib, base-devel, and KDE mesa/nvidia also upgraded however were only minor bumps to match kernel so don't THINK that would be the cause but very well may be wrong, this mesa upgrade removed libgl. Any ideas?? This display is using intel/onboard graphics by default so nvidia is out, mesa changes may still be the cause but can't seem to isolate since these are all tied together/required together, any ideas? linux 4.10 and related upgrades were all that were ran (nvidia, glibc, mesa, etc). Will provide additional information shortly/continuing to dig into |
