Hello,

LLVM comes since a few versions with a new linker, lld, to replace GNU ld and gold.
See here : https://lld.llvm.org/
It is able to link firefox and the whole freebsd code base, and has a lot of speed benefits
(on my own software it links two to three times faster).

Would it be possible to add it either to the LLVM or Clang release package, or to put it on
its own package ?

Thanks

LLD will be included in the LLVM 4.0.0 package set.
