Description:
Since Xorg 1.19.x there was a random crash related to the Wacom drivers. Xorg patched it upstream which went into Arch few days ago. Now however my Wacom tablet is completely unusable: While the stylus is in use, every 1-5 seconds the whole GUI freezes for a second. Xorg identified there is an issue with the Wacom drivers as well and also sent a patch to linuxwacom. I don't know if that patch made it to Arch yet or not, nor if that patch would fix the freezes or it's an issue with Xorg, or in the latter case if it's upstream issue or with Arch's package. Removing xf86-input-wacom leaving only the kernel drivers did not solve the issue. Additional info: Xorg upstream ticket with patches: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99887 Linuxwacom ticket: https://sourceforge.net/p/linuxwacom/mailman/message/35683033/ My tablet: "Intuos Pen&Touch Medium" (CTH-680) Steps to reproduce: 1; Connect a wacom tablet 2; Keep moving the stylus over the tablet (or draw in a graphics app) rapidly |

However, removing it also removes the ability to customize tablet and stylus settings, so now they are back to defaults. For me personally, this is not acceptable as I heavily relied on my custom configuration.
