Until recent updates (March) I was able to use WaylandEnable=false in /etc/gdm/custom.conf so I could force Xorg backend rather than the default Wayland.
I'm pretty sure that I'm back on Wayland even with the above switch since ALT+F2, R no longer works and that my two gripes are back : F12 for Guake not working when no application in focus and unable to revert the touchpad scrolling mode to normal mode rather than natural and thus even using the control panel.

Has WaylandEnable switched been removed? Is there another trick to force Xorg?

Forgot to add that I'm using the autologin function of GDM so I'm not able to select a Xorg sessions from the login window.
