DetailsDescription:
In latest release of bluez-utils package, some very important binaries have been removed by not specifying the --build-deprecated configuration option. Thesebinaries include notably hciconfig and hcitool. I could not find a way to use the bluetooth hci interfaces without them. For example, hciconfig is the only bluez tool to use the HCIDEVUP ioctl. AFAIK this ioctl is the only way of putting a hci device up; without that there is no way to start the bluetooth service. Additional info: * bluez-utils 5.44-1 Steps to reproduce: 1. Update bluez-utils to the latest version 2. Reboot 3. Try to put an hci up 4. Cry |
