DetailsDescription:
Docbook2X should work with either Jade (which contains SP) or OpenJade/OpenSP. Additional info: Current PKGBUILD requires the jade package, without any flexibility for its alternative: OpenJade/OpenSP. However, from the docbook2x.info file and the online documentation, docbook2x should be able to work with SP (contained in Jade) or OpenSP (split from OpenJade). So, if the latest is installed, installing Docbook2X will complain about a conflict between jade and openjade/opensp when it will try to install the required packages. The documentation (in docbook2x.info) refers to SP or OpenSP (not OpenJade per se, since OpenJade and OpenSP were split. Also, while OpenJade depends on OpenSP, OpenSP can live as a standalone). Docbook2X should either look for one (Jade) or the other (OpenSP) and live freely with it. However, since we can't specify an "OR" in PKGBUILD to my knowledge, the simplest thing would be to a) acknowledge that jade doesn't see any development anymore, while OpenJade "continues (continued)" where Jade was left, b) mark OpenJade package as providing Jade (since OpenJade will also install OpenSP as a dependency), c) possibly change the docbook2X's dependency from "jade" to "openjade" or, if we want to be narrower, "opensp". Steps to reproduce: 1- Install OpenJade and OpenSP. 2- Install Docbook2X |

Reason for closing: Not a bug
Additional comments about closing: openjade provides jade, so it satisfies the dep just fine
