Hello,
the attached patch (apply with: cd /var/abs/extra/system/hibernate-script; zcat hibernate-script.patch.gz | patch -Np1)
includes some additions to upstream for better AL support, an init script and fixes for the PKGBUILD.

make my job easy or what! thanks mate, patches rock!

I forwarded the relevant hibernate-script-arch patch onto nigel, so hopefully we'll see it in the next release ;)
