Details

Description:

With the update from 1.6.2-1 to 1.6.2-3, "uri" in the "[connectivity]" section in the networkmanager configuration was changed as following:

$ cat /usr/lib/NetworkManager/conf.d/20-connectivity.conf
[connectivity]
uri=http://www.archlinux.org/check_network_status.txt

According to the manpage of networkmanager.conf, the URL specified should either return a header "X-NetworkManager-Status" with a value of "online" or should have its body content be set to "NetworkManager is online. The above URL does neither and does not exist:

$ curl -I https://www.archlinux.org/check_network_status.txt
HTTP/1.1 404 NOT FOUND
Server: nginx/1.10.2
Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8
Content-Length: 3513
Connection: keep-alive
Date: Thu, 23 Feb 2017 14:02:14 GMT
Vary: Cookie
X-Frame-Options: DENY
https://www.pkgbuild.com/check_network_status.txt
The previous value for the URL was https://www.pkgbuild.com/check_network_status.txt, which does exist and have the appropriate content.

Additional info:
* libnm 1.6.2-3
* libnm-glib 1.6.2-3
* networkmanager 1.6.2-3
* /usr/lib/NetworkManager/conf.d/20-connectivity.conf

HSTS is irrelevant here. NM does not regard it.
