{add,rm}_daemon acpid -> laptop-mode

Well, the acpid stuff is an "oops" on my part. I don't know if I like this:
echo -n " `$DAEMON auto init force`"

I will apply most of this when I get a chance.

The 'echo -n " `$DAEMON auto init force`"' just runs the linux_laptop script and
prints running status at the same time.
I use since 08/28 without problems on my laptop.

Right, I understand what it does, but typically archlinux rc.d scripts are silent on start/stop - that's what the "status" arg was put there for.

It doesn't provide the same output as the "status" arg. Just give it a shot to test it for
yourself; it won't eat your cereal :). Anyway, it's your package and thus your call.
