DetailsA feature I would really find rather useful in pacman is one which would show a "(downloaded/toDownload)" in terms of the amount of packages during the downloading part. This is currently only shown during the installation process but an overall progress indicator like this would be also useful during the downloading part. Especially if many packages are being downloaded.
