DetailsWayland sessions, at least on GNOME, do not source /etc/profile which breaks a few things as discussed in the thread https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=218197 and in the bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=736660.
More recently, I raised a bug on pacaur related to this and the maintainer suggested that this may be an issue the Arch distro should possibly implement a workaround for. See https://github.com/rmarquis/pacaur/issues/638 |
