After upgrading to Linux core v4.9.6.1 stop working bluetooth service (hardware Intel Wireless 8260). I can confirm the above, bluetooth stopped working right after the
kernel 4.9.6.1 upgrade. The bluetooth mouse connects but the
pointer doesn't move, with service status messages exactly as
printed above. Hardware is the same too (Intel 8260, Dell Latitude
E5570).
I too have this issue after updating. Same chipset and error
output.
I also get this problem. However, I'm not entirely sure but I
think for me it broke only in 4.9.11-1, or maybe when updating to
bluez 5.44-1. Anyways, bluez 5.44-1 works when using the linux-lts
kernet, but doesn't work using linux 4.9.11-1.
Sorry I forgot to say: The only issue I had was with my bluetooth
keyboard (that's the only bt device I use). Sometimes, some keys
didn't work (usually curly braces), sometimes no key worked. But
pairing worked fine.
Well, it recently started working again. Kernel 4.10.6-1, and
everything else up-to-date too.
Yes it is start working and ticket can be close now.
