DetailsDescription:
tracker-extract doesn't start anymore, because it fails to create a D-Bus proxy. This renders applications like GNOME Music completely useless as it relies on tracker-extract to provide the metadata of the music files on disk. Here's the terminal output I get when I try to start all tracker miners manually: $ LC_ALL=en_US.utf8 tracker daemon -s Starting miners… (tracker daemon:3225): Tracker-CRITICAL **: Could not create proxy on the D-Bus session bus, Error calling StartServiceByName for org.freedesktop.Tracker1.Miner.Extract: Timeout was reached ✓ File System ✓ Applications ✓ RSS/ATOM Feeds (tracker daemon:3225): Tracker-CRITICAL **: No D-Bus proxy found for miner 'org.freedesktop.Tracker1.Miner.Extract' ✗ Extractor (perhaps a disabled plugin?) It seems to be a relatively new issue as tracker-extract did work with 1.10.1+11+g630668d-1 (end of November 2016). I am currently on tracker 1.10.3, but I don't now for sure if this issue was introduced in version 1.10.2 or .3. And I am not sure if this is an issue with tracker or with D-Bus. I searched upstream tracker bugs, but did not find anything that seems to be related. Should I report this upstream to? Do you need more information? Additional info: extra/libtracker-sparql 1.10.3-1 extra/tracker 1.10.3-1 core/dbus 1.10.14-1 extra/dbus-glib 0.108-1 |
