Even though this is the upstream description, I find it confusing
because it suggests that sddm itself supports running on Wayland,
which isn't true. So -1 from me.
My understanding is mentioning Wayland means sddm allow wayland
sessions to run as well as X11 because not all display managers
currently allow you to run wayland. There is some development done
in sddm to allow it to run wayland. If your argument is neither
X11 nor wayland should be mentioned, that's fine but using over
the other let me feel there is something wrong. Beside Arch Linux
is always about keeping upstream as it is and if there is
something wrong upstream, it should be filed there. Though this is
very trivial, I came across it when I bravely insanely thought
about removing all X11-related packages and test with wayland only
;)
