Details
Description: python-defusedxml is broken with Python 3.6; a
patch exists, but upstream is unresponsive
Additional info: * package version(s): python-defusedxml 0.4.1 Steps to reproduce: - Upgrade python 3, then attempt to use any package requiring python-defusedxml that uses _IterParseIterator on an ElementTree. (such as s3ql) There is a pull request to fix this bug upstream, but it's taking some time to get fixed. As the project has not seen activity in over a year, I worry it may take a long time to get fix. In the meantime, Arch packages don't work. I've made a patched version of the pacakge: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/python-defusedxml-git/ I don't know if this patched version should be put into the official repository or now. |

Is it still an issue in 0.5.0?
