Detailsgsfonts 2016 removes standard postscript fonts and replaces them with Nimbus font variants. For xpdf to continue working, /etc/xpdfrc needs to be updated to point to the new files. Patch attached.

Any reason this hasn't been packaged yet? The fix really is very simple, with the patch attached above, and without it many pdfs show no text. Surely, that is cause enough for another release; the last one is over a year old.

I confirm that this patch solves the problem. Thank you Mike Sharov. I don't see the reason this patch not being applied, this is an outstanding bug since last year.

Looks like there is YET another update on the folder naming of GS fonts, so the prefix /usr/share/fonts/OTF/ needs to be replaced with /usr/share/fonts/gsfonts for all fonts in this patch.
