Details

The package nvidia-utils contains /usr/bin/nvidia-settings. This application depends on gtk2.
However, gtk2 is not in the dependencies of nvidia-settings.

Possible solution would be to add gtk2 to the dependencies of nvidia-utils.
However, this will enforce gtk2 on nvidia's libGL, which is perhaps not desirable. Placing nvidia-settings in a seperate package depending on gtk2 would also resolve the issue.

Work-around: run "pacman -S gtk2" if nvidia-settings fails to start

So it isn't that much of an issue... but still it needs to be fixed.

we're not debian, so I dont think we'll do that. Probably just add a post install message mentioning that gtk2 is needed if you are to use the settings app.
