I could not make unshare working with the option --map-root-user. Even copying the exact same example from the manual, the executable return an Invalid argument. I tried to copy the binary file to Ubuntu and it works perfectly. Additional info: * package version: util-linux 2.28.2-2 * Arch Linux kernel version 4.8.12-2-ARCH Steps to reproduce: > unshare --map-root-user whoami unshare: unshare failed: Invalid argument # By copying the unshare binary to an Ubuntu distro (kernel version 4.2) > unshare --map-root-user whoami root |

You're trying to use user namespaces, a feature that is disabled in our kernel.
