Description:
I ran into this while attempting to hack on systemd. using their mkosi image builder, the images it built were missing the qrencode dependency for journalctl.
/usr/bin/journalctl: error while loading shared libraries: libqrencode.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

just looks like the dependency is missing from the package.

Steps to reproduce:
follow instructions here https://github.com/systemd/systemd/blob/master/HACKING

Note: I assume qrencode is getting pulled by default otherwise during a normal CD install. but it does seem to be missing from the PKG file.

Nothing in Arch's systemd package is linked to qrencode. Where's the bug here?

that is the bug.... journactl tries to load it. so if the package isn't installed it doesn't work.

edit:
I take it back looks like it might get filtered out if its not available during the build?
I'm looking at the configure.ac file in systemd atm. so it is something probably in the configuration for mkosi.

so ignore.

It may not work with your custom built version, but it works fine with the packaged version.
