Please add DejaVu fonts on Arch. The main reason some distros did not ship Gnome by default using Bitstream Vera was because Vera doesn't have enough glyphs in it (Owen Taylor of Pango was against Vera because of this). But now DejaVu reuses Vera's fonts but adds more glyphs. FC6 has moved to DejaVu by default now.

ttf-dejavu is in Community. But IMHO it should be in Extra, as well as ttf-freefont.

Distributions like Ubuntu, Fedora and even the upcoming Slackware release are replacing Bistream Vera with Dejavu.

As it is now, there is insufficient support in Arch for languages other than Western European. Please consider giving Dejavu the same treatment as Bitstream Vera (including patching /etc/fonts/fonts.conf)
