Nvidia released drivers which support Xorg ABI version 23 on 14 Dec 2016, but those new drivers have yet to be updated in the Arch Repo. The nvidia-340xx and nvidia-304xx packages are flagged out-of-date. X11 is completely broken for folks with the out-of-date nvidia-340xx and nvidia-304xx drivers. I had to switch to nouveau in the meantime Additional info: Current versions: extra/nvidia-340xx 340.98-4 extra/nvidia-304xx 304.132-2 Versions that work with newest X11: nvidia-340xx 340.101 nvidia-304xx 304.134 Steps to reproduce: 1) Have an older nvidia card and install corresponding driver. 2) Enable testing repository 3) Upgrade to latest version of X11 4) Restart |
