A lot of the Linux audio crowd have the JACK audio server running all the time and are long since looking forward for firefox to support it natively. As it (firefox) does have native support for JACK now, it would be a shame to not enable support for it during compilation. It is as simple as adding "--enable-jack" to mozconfig. Enabling JACK in firefox does not add any new runtime dependencies (current users won't be affected), as JACK is weakly linked in. It needs JACK headers as a buildtime dependency though. |
