DetailsDescription:
openvpn ships with scripts (installed under /usr/share/openvpn/contrib/pull-resolv-conf) to pull /etc/resolv.conf from the OpenVPN server. These scripts are currently installed with mode 644. Since these scripts usually don’t need to be modified, it would be convenient to have them installed with executable permissions, so the client can run them in-place, as opposed to copying them unmodified with fixed permissions. (Well, I guess one could also pass them to the shell in the OpenVPN config, but since the scripts already have the shebang and all…) Additional info: * openvpn 2.3.14-1 |
