Description:
Some fonts are missing/not usable in version 016.42286-1. pdflatex fails with messages such as: kpathsea: Running mktexpk --mfmode / --bdpi 600 --mag 0+480/600 --dpi 480 txsys mktexpk: don't know how to create bitmap font for txsys. mktexpk: perhaps txsys is missing from the map file. kpathsea: Appending font creation commands to missfont.log. or mktexpk --mfmode / --bdpi 600 --mag 2+44/600 --dpi 1244 rm-lmbx12 mktexpk: don't know how to create bitmap font for rm-lmbx12. mktexpk: perhaps rm-lmbx12 is missing from the map file. Additional info: * package version(s): texlive-fontsextra 2016.42286-1 * config and/or log files etc. Log file looke like: mktexpk --mfmode / --bdpi 600 --mag 0+480/600 --dpi 480 txsys mktexpk --mfmode / --bdpi 600 --mag 0+480/600 --dpi 480 txsys mktexpk --mfmode / --bdpi 600 --mag 0+480/600 --dpi 480 txsys Steps to reproduce: 1) Install texlive-fontsextra 2016.42286-1 2) try to compile with pdflatex a minimal latex file usin, for example, lmodern bold fonts 3) Compilation fails with messages as above At least another user reported this behavior: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=219980 |

Forgot to mention: manually reverting to
texlive-fontsextra-2016.41439-2-any.pkg.tar.xz solves the issue.
