Steam provides 32-bit glut libraries, and I can confirm at
least one game depends on it.

The steam runtime does ship with freeglut so it might be better to have it as well.
To ease things for future one might as well have a script which parses the DSO's in ~/.local/share/Steam with pacman -Fs and updates the list.
