Currently lisp files of bbdb package are installed in /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp. But this package contains many files, it is better to be installed in a subdir, such as /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/bbdb. To do this, add an option --with-lispdir='${datarootdir}/emacs/site-lisp/bbdb' to ./configure --prefix=/usr. |

"many files" isn't really a reason to diverge from upstream defaults.
