Details

Description:
When installing linux-4.8.8, USB functionality doesn't seem to work. This means that my keyboard doesn't work, even in the tty. Another keyboard on another USB input doesn't work either. Downgrading to linux-4.7.6 made it work again.
I don't know which versions in between 4.7.6 and 4.8.8 do work, or when this bug was introduced.

Steps to reproduce:
This is on my PC:
- Install ArchLinux following the installation guide
- Reboot into the installed ArchLinux
- Be unable to do anything

Potentially relevant hardware?
Intel Core i5-6500
Gigabyte H110M-S2H-CF
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

Edit update: linux 4.8.0-1 does work. Linux 4.8.1-1 does not work.

I cannot reproduce the issue. Is it still valid for you?

Lack of an answer about an issue with a kernel version which is long gone (current version 6.2.x).
Shouldn't this be closed?
