Is there a chance we could get this scheduler enabled in the Extra repo build? If not, what are the dangers/considerations?

I guess it won't happen because MUQSS is not mainlined. Arch philosophy is to stay as much upstream as possible while applying only necessary patches. You can always use AUR in this regard.

No, I'm just not confident of the code. You also lose the hierarchical scheduling provided by CFS.
