Description:
steam predetermined action when close buttom is pulsed in arch is minimized or closed while in ubuntu and other distributions is close to the try
I want to be minimized to tray like ubuntu, I know it can be done by configuring the launcher of steam but it is a bit annoying that each version rewrite the file and I have to put the config again.
I think other people will be happy with this change..
Additional info:
* package version(s) all
* config and/or log files etc. /usr/bin/steam

Steps to reproduce:
try to close to tray with close buttom, the window will be minimzed or closed while is more util to close to tray
This task depends upon

Reason for closing:  Upstream
Additional comments about closing:  default upstream behavior, if it should do it in another way then a local invoker script setting those is required

sorry i barely understand what you try to say. The way we launch is the default way upstream intends it. If you want to change that you should create a own local script that sets env vars and invokes /usr/bin/steam, don't edit files shipped by a package. PS: you want to start using /usr/bin/steam-native

don't see why it should be overridden by default, if you want to change the behaviour create a local script that is calling steam and set the env vars. don't edit the shipped file.

I request this because I though other people should want this, but if it is a problem or it doesn't I will be make this script, but I don't know why, it is the bad thing jaja

because the way it is right now is the default way upstream wants it to behave. if you want to customize it: do it :P we try to stick as upstream/vanilla as possible except if there are sane reasons to change them.

I understand you, it is better to know what it is doing your system and why, but sometimes there is less time by users or a little bit of fatigue, thanks for your time, I though this sorry

No need to apologize :) I'm closing this as upstream behavior then.
