DetailsDescription:When upgrading system with pacman, pacman throws the following error:
(7/7) checking for file conflicts [######################] 100% error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files) geoclue2: /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/geoclue/geoclue.devhelp2 exists in filesystem geoclue2: /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/geoclue/home.png exists in filesystem geoclue2: /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/geoclue/index.html exists in filesystem geoclue2: /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/geoclue/left.png exists in filesystem geoclue2: /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/geoclue/right.png exists in filesystem geoclue2: /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/geoclue/style.css exists in filesystem geoclue2: /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/geoclue/up.png exists in filesystem Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
I ran the "pacman -Qo" command on the first file and here are the results:
[root@arch Desktop]# pacman -Qo /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/geoclue/geoclue.devhelp2 /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/geoclue/geoclue.devhelp2 is owned by geoclue 0.12.99-2
It seems that there is a problem with pacman when it tries to update "geoclue2-2.4.4-2". Obviously I cannot rename the conflicting files (as archwiki mentions). I have googled errors and could not find this problem, and I have looked at the new arch bug-reports without finding anything similar. Additional info: * package version(s): geoclue2-2.4.4-2 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: pacman (logically) throws this error every time I attempt a system upgrade (pacman -Syu) |
