k3bsetup is simply a shell script that calls kdesu to run k3bsetup2, however k3bsetup2 does not exist and is no where even in the package.

on the other hand to use k3b, k3bsetup is not at all needed, put your user into optical group and all is fine fpr burning

Indeed, it's just a minor note especially since there is a note about having to install kdebase to get kdesu so you can use k3bsetup, then if you are to that that it's a waste of time and bandwidth.

i'm thinking about removing even k3bsetup from this pkg - would make (me) us an easier life

Found a similar problem recently. After installing k3b, k3bsetup refuses to install at all. Found that it uses the xorg-auth package with is NOT installed by default.

I see some typing issue in the k3bsetup program, sometimes refer it as k3bsetup2, sometimes as k3bsetup. But the bug reporter should check if it has xorg-auth package installed, and if not, test the problem again after installing it.

If this is the issue (as was my case), then I suggest a standalone package with k3bsetup having xorg-auth as a dependency, or adding the dependency to k3b package.

sorry, in first paragraph, I mean k3bsetup refuses to run at all, not install.
