gssproxy.service contains:

> Environment=KRB5RCACHEDIR=/var/lib/gssproxy/rcache

However, the directory doesn't exist by default (it is not included with the package) and gssproxy itself does not auto-create it either (the envvar is only used by libkrb5). As a result, libkrb5 is unable to store its replay-cache and fails all auth requests.

The directory should be pre-created by the package.

What permission and ownership is required?

It's only used by gssproxy itself, so "0700 root root" should be enough.
