Description:
After update and install of samba and smbclient 4.5.1-1, pacman(5.0.1-4) can't connect to update servers and spits out "Could not resolve host" for every server in mirrorlist. Browsing the web is unaffected and hosts resolve normally, so the rest of the system appears unaffected. Retrograding samba and smbclient to 4.5.0-2 solves the issue and pacman can then resolve hosts normally. This has happened on my two systems. On both system, returning to older samba packages solved the issue for pacman. Steps to reproduce: Install samba and smbclient 4.5.1-1 try update system again via pacman |
