gucharmap segfaults when the typeface drop-down widget is used to select a different typeface.

This is an FYI that two bug reports are filed with the upstream bug tracker. I submitted a patch that prevents the segfault, though it is more of a work-around at this point as I don't understand the full repercussions of my alteration.
