Description:
After resuming my laptop (Sony VPCZ13, first-gen Core i5), I experience a total system freeze. First the GUI freezes. Then I can still try to switch to a TTY, but this never completes and the screen stays black. If I don't try to switch to a TTY, the screen stays frozen on the last X server visual. Additional info: * Linux 4.7.6-1 and Linux-lts 4.4.25-1 I don't know why it's tainted or I would try without the tainting modules... Attached are two journalctl logs for the hibernate+resume sequences. Steps to reproduce: 0. Get my laptop model, install Arch 1. Set up resume hook in mkinitcpio and resume=... on kernel boot commandline 2. systemctl hibernate 3. resume by pressing power button. 4. See that it seemingly worked until, ah, total system freeze. |
