Description:
Valgrind version 3.11.0 (package version 3.11.0-4) contains a bug that makes it crash when running apps that use OpenSSL. There is an upstream bug (reported by an Arch user even) here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356393 The upstream bug contains reproduction steps and a patch. This is a very frustrating problem. I am not sure what kind of release schedule valgrind has, but a quick look at the "announce" mailing list makes it look like it's not very often (the bug was fixed in March). Would it be possible to get patched version packaged until the new release is out? Additional info: * package version 3.11.0-4 Steps to reproduce: 1. git clone http://git.savannah.gnu.org/r/wget.git 2. cd wget 3. ./bootstrap && ./configure --enable-valgrind-tests --with-ssl=openssl 4. make check (from https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356393) |

The changelog includes the upstream bug linked to above as fixed. As such, this bug can be closed in favor of just upgrading the package.
Thanks a lot and sorry for the noise :)
