Description:
Screen redraw failure with compiz-0.8.12/ emerald 0.8.12.4-2, and caja-gtk3 for gtk3-3.22. See upstream https://github.com/compiz-reloaded/compiz/issues/40. Obviously, upstream is aware. However, when caja-gtk3 1.16.0-3 PKGBUILD is used to build caja-gtk3 with older gtk3-3.20.9-1-x86_64 on my system, this bug does not occur, even when subsequently upgrading gtk3 to 3.22.0-1-x86_64. For some reason, building caja-gtk3-1.16 with gtk3-3.20 prevents this bug from occuring in gtk3-3.22.

Additional info:
linux-4.7.6-1-x86_64
nvidia 370.28-1
mate-desktop-gtk3-1.16.0-1-x86_64
caja-gtk3-1.16.0-3-x86_64
compiz-gtk 0.8.12.3-3 (AUR)
emerald-0.8.12.4-2 (AUR)

Steps to reproduce: Always happens when above packages installed with pacman on my system.

Steps to prevent, or as an aid to figuring this out, see above.

Sorry, but Compiz is in AUR, therefore unsupported. If MATE developers provide a patch, then we can apply it. Otherwise we cannot do anything, so I'm closing this task.
