Details

Description:
Module r8168 with kernel 4.8.1 starts connections and loses it. Once there was kernel panic. Ping command to any server hangs about several seconds with error about buffer.

* r8168 8.043.01-1 (testing)
* kernel 4.8.1 (testing)

Are you still experiencing this connection losses with kernel 4.8.2?
On my test machine it seems to be working fine.

Unfortunately with kernel 4.8.2 there are the same errors. With 4.7.6 kernel all works good. I have [sixth] [06] revision of chipset - motherboard has been bought about August 2013. Maybe it's some platform-specific problem (Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5). Of course all works good with r8169 module and I have the second ethernet card, thus It's not a big problem for me.

Thanks for checking report. I will test future versions of drivers and kernels.
