Description:
The update from vtk 7.0.0-2 to 7.0.0-3 creates /usr/share/cmake/hdf5/libhdf5.settings, which conflicts with a similar package containing the same file (probably also a mistake) - namely "paraview" from archlinuxfr (http://repo.archlinux.fr/ -> http://repo.archlinux.fr/x86_64/paraview-5.1.0-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz). Franky, I don't understand, what these cmake-files (of ending ".settings") are stored for in the binary package. I think, if vtk needs its hdf5-settings stored somewhere, they should be named accordingly (e.g. uniqely to vtk). regards, deepthought |

Thanks, I'll try the patch soon (paraview takes long to compile ...)
Is it correct that these cmake files are specific to vtk and paraview stored them incorrectly at the same path? Why are they named hdf5, then?
paraview includes vtk. That's where the conflict originates. Unfortunately it is not possible to use the system vtk when compiling paraview.
