In the new Lockscreen on Plasma 5.8 you cant swipe your finger in your fingerprint reader to unlock the LockScreen


This is what happened on Plasma 5.7 LockScreen (https://plus.google.com/+Luk%C3%A1%C5%A1Tinkl/posts/Cu5tCZ81YM7)
you could swipe your finger in the fingerprint reader and unlock it


Packages:
plasma-desktop 5.8.0-1



Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Lock your session
2. Try to unlock with your fingerprint reader
3. you notice that you cant

Actual Results:
Lockscreen can't be unlocked

Expected Results:
unlock the Lockscreen

[x11tete11x@jarvis ~]$ sudo cat /etc/pam.d/system-local-login
#%PAM-1.0
auth sufficient pam_fprintd.so
auth include system-login
account include system-login
password include system-login
session include system-login

[x11tete11x@jarvis ~]$ sudo cat /etc/pam.d/polkit-1
#%PAM-1.0
auth sufficient pam_fprintd.so
auth include system-auth
account include system-auth
password include system-auth
session include system-auth

[x11tete11x@jarvis ~]$ sudo cat /etc/pam.d/sudo
#%PAM-1.0
auth sufficient pam_fprintd.so
auth include system-auth
account include system-auth
session include system-auth

Doing more tests, en KDE Neon 5.8 this works fine, so i assume that's it's an Arch specific bug

Lock screen authentication is handled by /etc/pam.d/kde AFAIK, have you tried adding pam_fprintd.so there?

You can close it now! :D I solved it by adding:

[x11tete11x@jarvis ~]$ sudo cat /etc/pam.d/system-auth

#%PAM-1.0
auth sufficient pam_fprintd.so
